About Brooks WMBL Baseball

After careful consultation and consideration our goal is to bring a Western Major Baseball League (WMBL) team to the City of Brooks. The city of 15,000 is a perfect fit for the expanding league full of entertainment for any age group. The WMBL consists of 11 teams across Alberta and Saskatchewan, and are looking to expand in southern Alberta. Each team consists of 27 players from university or college teams looking for summer playing time and exposure to pro scouts. These are amateur players who are not paid, and are billeted out to local families.

Across the league, there has been an increased push to not only sell the sport of baseball, but turn each game into an entertaining family event. The recently completed Brooks Quad Ball Complex will be a perfect home stadium for the yet-to-be named team, with only a few simple upgrades necessary to reach its full potential.

Financially, the goal of the franchise is to break even from the first year, with any profits utilized for future growth and development of the organization and stadium. This project will need full support from the local government and businesses to succeed. Throughout this report, we will explain why bringing a WMBL baseball team to Brooks is a great investment into the community.
